Au cours de sa carrière, il a parcouru les Balkans, passé deux ans et demi en Israël, plus d’un an à New York et s’est établi à Montréal en janvier 1966. Dès son arrivée, il a impressionné le public du Patriote grâce à ses interprétations d’airs folkloriques et ce, en quatorze langues!
